The Fairlawns | Sophie + Damian

Having spent a good deal of this year’s wedding season travelling the country to some amazing venues in beautiful locations it was nice to be at a local gem, Fairlawns for the marriage of Sophie & Damian.

Wondered if the weather would be kind to me today as it has been all season and not disappointed, glorious Autumn sunshine throughout the day.

First out of the blocks was Damian and his hilarious groomsmen suitably attired in perfectly fitting suits from Kevin Paul.  A slightly nervous Sophie, accompanied by her Mom, who had the honour of “giving her away” then joined me with her bridesmaids for pre ceremony photos.  They all wore matching shoes with Sophie’s dress being provided by Katies Brides and it was Kiss for the bridesmaids. Sally Minchin on electric violin entertained the guests as they awaited the ceremony.  Once the service began Sophie’s nervousness was replaced by a beaming smile as she exchanged vows with Damian.

A very relaxed photo session followed in the fabulously landscaped grounds at Fairlawns, before returning to the garden room for the couple’s reception celebrations.  I have to say I have never seen the room looking so wonderful, styled and complimented with stunning floral arrangements from Dee Chappell of Debonair with stationery from Entwined.  After sharing a pint and a few jokes with the groomsmen it was sadly time for me to bid everyone farewell, it had been a truly enjoyable wedding to record.
