Retrospective Look at 2015
2016 sees Barry James Photography entering our 30th Year as professional wedding photographers, indeed a time to reflect. I doubt if I could have ever stuck to the same job for 30 years, but there lies the difference, being a wedding photographer is not a job it’s a passion. As we review 2015 this is the one big thing that stands out – passion – a passion that reignites with each and every wedding, and shows in our work.
Staffordshire Wedding Photographer – A Retrospective Look at 2015
2015 was a wonderfully diverse and exciting year for us. It was again a year filled with many “firsts”, lots of new venues visited for the first time, first seaside wedding and our first same sex wedding for a delightful couple Katie and Cherie Anne. It also saw us renew acquaintances with many fellow professionals filled with the same passion as we worked together on weddings throughout the year.
We were fortunate enough to be able to visit some wonderful parts of the country for our weddings this year including Staffordshire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Devon.
We had the pleasure of working with some fabulous couples, their families and friends, many of whom had travelled far for the occasion including America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, China, Abu Dhabi and various European countries, it was an absolute delight to meet them all.
We were privileged to be able to work at some fabulous venues throughout the country as well as our regular local favourites, hope you enjoy viewing them both in this review and the galleries on our website www.barryjamesphoto.com and via our Facebook pages.
Our journey of passion continues, but for 2015 we would just like to thank everyone that added to our enjoyment during the year, the fabulous venues, the helpful fellow suppliers, the guests and families at each and every wedding and of course the most important people on the day – all of our wonderful bride and grooms. To them we say a big big thank you for inviting us to be part of their special day.
Finally a massive personal thank you to my own family who are all in some way involved in the continued success of Barry James Photography – without them it would not exist. Having Stephen alongside me photographing so many weddings, adding his own special take on the day, capturing wonderful candid moments and creative images, and to Stuart who not only edits all of our images and designs all our albums, he has also occasionally been at my side adding his own documentary style to our wedding coverages too.
